WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Towne West Square mall in Wichita has formally been placed on the sales block.
The mall is located at 4600 West Kellogg.
Commercial RealEstate Direct reports that the 899,285-square-foot mall, of which 448,760 square feet serves as collateral for a $45 million loan securitized through Morgan Stanley Capital, is owned by Washington Prime Group.
NKF Capital Markets has been hired to market the property for sale.
The property started suffering three years ago when Sears had vacated the 122,736 square feet it had leased at the property. Then Dillard’s, which owned two anchor stores, downsized and converted a location into a clearance outlet.
JCPenney, Dillards Clearance, Dick’s Sporting Goods still anchor the mall.
Convergys and Bosley Tires moved into part of the old Sears location.
