Corbin Breitenbach, the Wichita man accused of sexually assaulting a 7-year-old girl, was back in court to try to have DNA evidence retested.
Wichita police say Breitenbach broke into an apartment a year ago, choked a young girl to unconsciousness, and then sexually attacked her.
Breitenbach is charged with attempted capital murder, aggravated criminal sodomy, and aggravated burglary.
The judge denied Breitenbach’s request to have DNA evidence retested. The judge also said no to Breitenbach testing other DNA gathered from the room the girl was sleeping in.
His trial is now set for July 30.
