Man drowns in pool at east Wichita home


WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A 35-year-old man drowned in a pool Sunday night. 

Police said the man was at a home in the 1100 block of N. Pershing with his friends celebrating the World Cup. Two of his friends were in a hot tub near the pool, and when they realized they hadn’t seen him for some time, they went to check on the man. 

According to police, the man’s friends said they jumped in the pool and pulled him out. They attempted CPR on the man, but he remained unresponsive. 

The man’s name hasn’t been released at this time.
