Man faces involuntary manslaughter charge in woman’s death


WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A Wichita man has been arrested again in connection to an alleged driving under the influence crash that killed a 56-year-old woman last September. 

According to jail records, 34-year-old Monty Carpenter, Jr. was booked Tuesday night for involuntary manslaughter while driving under the influence and interfering with law enforcement.

The crash happened at 31st and McLean, killing Marsha Oglesby.

Police arrested Carpenter after he allegedly ran from the scene of the crash.

He had been released from jail and a warrant was recently issued for his arrest Tuesday.
