A prison sentence has been handed down for one of the people convicted in a Valley Center murder. It stemmed over a meth deal.
Willie Earl Morris will spend 50 years behind bars with no chance of parole, plus an additional 23 years for other charges to be served consecutively.
He had been found guilty of five counts including first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping and aggravated battery.
He was involved in killing Scottie Goodpaster, Jr. Goodpaster was found dead in a Harvey County field back in November 2016.
Four other people were charged in connection to Goodpaster’s death.
