Man’s death on Park City racetrack possibly health-related, police chief says

PARK CITY, Kan. (KSNW) – A man apparently died in a crash on a Park City racetrack, but police say the crash might been caused by a pre-existing health condition.

Park CIty Police Chief Phil Bostian told KSN on Monday that David L. Dalme, 33, of Herrington, died around 1 p.m. after a vehicle crash at Jeeps Motorcycle Club at East 101st North and Broadway in Sedgwick County, near Park City.

Jeeps said in a Facebook post that a racer died in a crash on Sunday afternoon.

Bostian said his department doesn’t know whether the accident killed Dalme, saying it’s possible a health-related issue killed him leading to the crash. He said it’s possible an autopsy will be performed, but he doesn’t know at this time.

Bostian told KSN no crimes were committed and no other “riders” were involved.

Club officials decided to call off the rest of the races Sunday following the incident.
