Motorcyclist killed in crash in Hutchinson

HUTCHINSON, Kan. (KSNW) – A motorcyclist died Tuesday night in a crash in Hutchinson. 

It happened near 4th and Plum around 7:30 p.m. Hutchinson police tell KSN News the victim is 58-year-old Michael Jones of Hutchinson. 

Police said a vehicle heading westbound in front of Jones had stopped for pedestrians in a crosswalk. Jones had also stopped. However, another car, with a 73-year-old driver, behind Jones struck him from behind. If forced Jones into the vehicle in front.

The 73-year-old driver of the car was taken to be tested for alcohol or drugs. The tests came back negative. 

So far, there are no charges or citations.
