Hundreds of people claimed downtown Wichita as home for this year’s NCAA tournament. Most visitors that KSN spoke with say they had never had a reason to visit the Midwest.
“We’re from San Diego,” said one couple. “Supporting Diego is important for us but what’s been huge is how much fun we’re having out here.”
Fans from near and far stormed the arena, sporting KU and St. Patrick’s day gear.
“This morning we took the whole family with the kids out to the parade,” said Kevin Brewner. “Now, we’re back out pre-gaming for KU.”
KU took the win against Seton Hall Saturday night, and locals say they could not have asked for a better NCAA experience.
