Norton County Sheriff’s Office: Explosive device found in impound lot


NORTON COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) – The Norton County Sheriff’s Office announced on their Facebook page Wednesday that officers located what they believe to be an explosive device at the Norton City-County impound lot.

The Norton County Sheriff’s Office stated they contacted the Fort Riley EOD, Fort Riley soldiers responded and neutralized the device.

The investigation is ongoing on the ownership and construction of the device.
