A couple of Wichita police officers are being commended for going beyond the call of duty.
The officers were responding to a shots fired call near the laundry mat.
While they were getting video and witness statements, the officers folded a woman’s laundry to help her out.
“I just asked her to do the statement, and she was like, ‘well, what’s going to happen to all this laundry?’ “I was like well I can fold it,” said officer Kevin Zoerb. “I was like I really got some skills I can do this.”
“I think when someone saw us they were like oh my gosh you know a small gesture went a long way to comfort her,” said officer Heather Frazier.
A person at the laundry mat took this photo of the officers.
