Old photos could be included in pictorial book on Wichita history

It is all about memories, memories of Wichita. This week you can have your old photos scanned to be in a pictorial book of Wichita history.

KSN News took a look with longtime Wichita residents who shared their pictures.

“My mother and father met, they were in the circus, and they were practicing at the old Forum building before they built Century II, this was years ago, I think during the 30s,” said Janice Freidline, Wichita resident.

“I collect Wichita police and Sedgwick County Sheriff items. That was my career, and I just developed a liking for the law enforcement,” said John Hershberger, Wichita resident.

You can have one more chance to have your pictures scanned this Saturday. The scanning session will by Saturday, April 6 from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. It will be at the Westlink Library Branch at 8515 W. Bekemeyer Street.

You can log onto wichita.pictorialbook.com for information on how to buy a book or how you can submit your picture.
