WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) — First responders and emergency services responded to a call of a drowning that left a two-year-old child dead on Friday afternoon.
The Wichita Police Department (WPD) said that just before 2 p.m., officers were called to a drowning in the 1900 block of Siefkin St.
When officers arrived, they learned a two-year-old child made their way out of the house and into a pool in the backyard. Fire and EMS arrived and pronounced the child dead at the scene.
An investigation is ongoing.
