One person injured in east Wichita shooting


WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – The Wichita Police Department is investigating an early Saturday morning shooting at an apartment complex on the 10,000 block of East Boston.

Wichita police say they believe a 24-year-old woman was shot multiple times by her estranged boyfriend. WPD said the woman was taken to an area hospital and is in serious condition. Police say this is a domestic violence case.

Sedgwick County dispatch says police received a shooting call shortly after 9:30 a.m. Authorities say they are still looking for the suspect but say there is no threat to the public.
