Park City seeking input for recreational improvements

Wichita’s neighbor to the north is seeking your input for improvements to the city’s walking and biking paths.

More and more people are calling Park City home and more businesses are opening up, according to city officials. The city already boasts sidewalks and bike paths, but with some new funding available through a partnership with the Wichita Metropolitan Planning Association, hopes to take the walkabililty in the area to the next level.

“What people look for in cities is quality of life. People’s lives have changed, and they’re really wanting to be active, they’re wanting to bicycle, they’re wanting to be out and be able to access different places in the community by foot or by bike,” Dana Walden, assistant city administrator said.

Two community input meetings are available next Thursday, July 26th at the Park City public library. The first session runs 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. and the second is 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. You can stop in or stay the duration of the meeting.
