Pizza Hut Museum opens at WSU Innovation Campus

WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - The world's first Pizza Hut has called WSU home for years, and now it has a new spot on campus.

It's now on the Innovation Campus.

There was a ceremony held Wednesday to open the museum dedicated to the home of the largest pizza franchise in the world.

The museum is dedicated to the historical, cultural and entrepreneurial story of Pizza Hut.

"I hope the visitors will walk away with the idea that you can have an idea and develop an idea and make it really good and make it international," said Dan Carney, Co-founder of Pizza Hut.

The first Pizza Hut opened in 1958.

Last year, it sold more than $5 billion worth of pizza.
