Wichita police said a 42-year-old man died in an accident Wednesday morning involving a forklift loader. It happened in the 4500 block of West Irving.
Matthew Froehlich was driving his motorcycle and attempted to pass a forklift loader.
The operator of the loader turned, and the motorcyclist struck the forks of the loader and was ejected.
He was taken to Via Christi Hospital St. Francis campus where he died of his injuries.
Police said the fatality is eighth in the city this year.
