Wichita police said they made 13 arrests in a prostitution sting along Broadway on Thursday.
The assignment was conducted during the day by the department’s Vice Section, Patrol North and Patrol South bureaus.
Police said 13 arrests were made for buying sex. Three arrests were made for drugs.
“We will be conducting sex crime special assignments regularly in the Broadway corridor area,” said officer Charley Davidson. “Please do not come into the area to engage in these type of activities, or you will be arrested.”
It was the 14th sex trafficking assignment held by the Wichita Police Department this year.
So far, those combined have had 113 arrests: 23 women and 90 men.
