Rice County suspect’s death brings up questions about missing Kansas woman

RICE COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) – The death of David Madden is bringing up questions from family members and the community as to what happened to Megan Foglesong.

“Come home Megan,” Susan Olson said.

Olson and many others in small town Alden are still questioning how 24-year-old Megan vanished.

“Quite a few that are mourning her,” she said. “Wishing that we could find her or know what really happened.”

The mystery of Megan’s disappearance began in late November or early December of 2015.

KBI agents named David Madden as a suspect in the case.

Jenna Foglesong said Madden was with her sister days before she disappeared.

And with Madden’s death, she may never know the truth.

“Half of that I felt bad because oh that might be the only person that knows what happened to her,” Jenna said. “I would just like to know what happened and if they can find her.”

“Not knowing what was going on is scary, but maybe we can come to somewhat of a closure,” Olson said.

She said there are mixed emotions in her tiny town, but she’s still praying for more answers.

“I still have hope that maybe they can find Megan,” she said.

If you have any information on her disappearance, you can call the KBI at 316-337-6100.
