Saint Francis Community Services holding back to school drive

Saint Francis Community Services is hosting a back to school drive with several local businesses.

The organization is looking to provide school supplies to more than 700 children in and out of home care in Sedgwick County.

Foster car home supervisor Amanda McKenney wants these kids to have a successful school year.

“I wanted to provide that you know, that excitement of the first day of school, having that brand new back pack to kinda help and show that confidence of kids, and they’ll be successful educationally.”

You can bring many different school supplies to the locations below:

Ecclesia Coffee Shop
7130 W. Maple Suite 280

City Life Church
216 E. 2nd St. N.

McKenney says back pack for all ages are needed the most, and calculators and notebooks for the teenagers. The drive runs until July 31.
