Scheduled snow day for Wichitans next week

It’s a day most schoolchildren look forward to — a snow day! But who’s heard of a planned snow day? Well, thanks to the City of Wichita Park & Recreation, a snow day is in order!

The organization announced it will be hosting a snow day in Wichita on January 2 at the Mid-America All-Indian Center. No snow in the forecast? No problem! Snow Bros Snowmakers, a Wichita business, is partnering with the organization to provide a winter wonderland for Wichitans.

Dunkin’ Donuts will also be providing free coffee and hot chocolate, while supplies last.

“This event is free and open to children, adults who identify as children and anyone else who loves snow!” said the organization online.

The event kicks off at 9:00 in the morning and lasts until 3:00 p.m. Simply bring a sled and enjoy!
