WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) - The search for a missing 5-year-old boy will shift north Saturday and Sunday as the Newton Police Department reports it's organizing a search for Lucas Hernandez.
The child was reported missing around 6:15 p.m. on February 17 from his home in the 600 block of S. Edgemoor. Since then, numerous searches in and around Wichita have failed to locate Lucas.
The Newton Police Department wrote in a Facebook post, "If you are looking for an outdoor activity, which could help bring closure to a high-profile missing child case, there will be organized searches for Lucas Hernandez taking place in Wichita on Saturday and Sunday.
Searchers gathered at Aloft Wichita at 3642 N. Oliver at 9 a.m. Saturday, April 28. They will meet again Sunday at the same time and location.
