A Sedgwick County Sheriff’s deputy has been found not guilty following a March arrest made while the deputy was off duty.
On March 12, officers were called to the home of Vincent Folston for a disturbance. Folston was off-duty at the time of the disturbance. He has been employed by the department for about two and a half years.
Folston was charged with knowingly or recklessly causing bodily harm to a person. He was found not guilty in the Municipal Court of the City of Wichita on Tuesday.
An internal investigation is being conducted by the Professional Standards Unit of the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office to determine if any policies were violated.
Folston continues to work for the department in a limited capacity.
