Authorities are investigating an accident at Kellogg and Meridian. It happened at the westbound on-ramp to Kellogg at Meridian around 3:30 p.m.
The Sedgwick County Sheriff said the accident involved three cars. The vehicle that caused the accident was reported stolen. It was occupied by four juveniles.
A deputy ran the tag of the car and found out it was stolen.
“The vehicle that was reported stolen ran a red light into the intersection causing this accident,” said Capt. Mark Pierce, Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Department.
Four juveniles inside the stolen car were taken to the hospital to be checked for their injuries. Two were in critical condition.
The other two people, in separate vehicles involved in the crash, were not seriously injured. However, one was transported to the hospital to be checked for their injury.
The intersection was closed as crews investigated.
