WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Parts of Wichita were shaken by an earthquake early Monday morning.
The Kansas Geological Survey reports the 2.4 magnitude quake hit east Wichita. It adds to the others recorded Thursday and Friday. The strongest was a 2.7 magnitude on Thanksgiving.
A scientist with the Kansas Geological Survey says they are not the first quakes and not the last.
“It wouldn’t surprise me to see another 2.5 in the area, but it wouldn’t also surprise me to see this go quiet now and be another year or two or six months before you see any more in the area,” said Rick Miller, Kansas Geological Survey senior scientist.
