A high school student was taken into custody Thursday after making a threat to a Kansas school.

Newton High School officials say the student was arrested at the school Thursday. The arrest came after a bomb threat was found in a classroom between classes.

School officials say there will be additional police presence at the school on Friday as a precaution.

Newton police say the identity of the suspect will not be released because the suspect is a juvenile.
