Teen arrested after robbing Kwik Shop in south Wichita

Police said a teen was arrested after robbing a convenience store early Tuesday morning in south Wichita. 

It happened at the Kwik Shop in the 4800 block of South Seneca just after midnight. 

According to police, the 17 year old walked into the store. He pointed a gun at the clerk and demanded money, lighters, and tobacco. The suspect fled on foot. 

Officers quickly responded and located the teen. After a short foot chase, he was arrested. He was transported to the Sedgwick County Juvenile Detention Facility.  

The stolen property was recovered.
