The Arcade hosts first responders night

Local first responders were transported back in time on Tuesday night.

The Arcade hosted a special event allowing police, fire and EMS workers to play the retro games free of charge.

The co-owner told KSN News it’s a way to say thank you.

“We wanted to give people the ability who give so much to our city. We wanted to be able to give back to them,” said Derek Sorrells, The Arcade co-owner.

“It is awesome to know that people are out there and appreciate us because we appreciate helping out the community,” said Paco Avitia, Sedgwick County EMS.

The Arcade said they plan to host a military appreciation event soon.
