Tiny blue chairs with big message against child abuse

Local groups raised awareness of what they call a rise in child abuse death’s in the city of Wichita. Among families who lost loved ones were parents still searching for their children.

Emma’s Army built 45 tiny blue chairs and placed them side by side at OJ Watson Park to give people a visual image of how many children we have lost to the hands of abuse.

“This helps people really see how big of a problem this is,” said Ronnie Lloyd. “We plan to place these in other places around the city to keep raising awareness.”

Parents say events like these help them cope with the loss of their children. The event had entertainment for the children, a raffle and food.
