A tornado that developed Tuesday near Ensign in Gray County and dissipated inside Ford County was rated an EF-0 by the National Weather Service.
The tornado formed around 4:44 p.m. and lifted by 4:54 p.m. It traveled just over four miles. Maximum wind was estimated to be 75 mph.
The tornado managed to miss structures. Instead, weather officials observed that the tornado scoured muddy fields, up to 8 inches deep in spots. Crop debris were also found on power lines.
