The trial for Yesenia Sesmas, the woman accused of killing Laura Abarca and stealing her baby, was put on hold for a time Friday.
Sesmas told court officials this morning that she was having chest pains and thought she was going to pass out.
The judge ordered that she be taken to the hospital for evaluation.
Sesmas was released from hospital. She was diagnosed with anxiety and chest pain. The trial resumed with the state calling three more witnesses, including a detective with the Dallas Police Department.
Detective Michael McMurray was on the stand when the trial was put on a hold again after Sesmas became ill again and vomited.
