Two killed in Greenwood County crash


GREENWOOD COUNTY, Kan. (KSNW) – The Kansas Highway Patrol is investigating a fatal crash that killed two. It happened Monday morning around 6:20 a.m. on Highway 400 in Greenwood County.

According to the patrol, a 2008 Scion was eastbound, and a 2004 Chevy Avalanche was westbound. The Scion crossed the center line and hit the Avalanche head-on. The Avalanche caught on fire.

The driver of the Scion, 38-year-old Bambi J. Haynie of Herington and the driver of the Avlanche, 17-year-old Tanner W. McMullen of Fall River, were pronounced dead at the scene. No other occupants or injuries were reported.
