Here are a couple of traffic reminders for drivers in northwest Wichita as well as a busy Wichita interchange.

Ridge Road north of 29th St. will close in both directions on Wednesday. The closure will be for construction crews to repair the railroad crossing.

Crews will shut the street down after 8 a.m. traffic and hope to reopen it before rush hour starts at 5 p.m.

The Kansas Department of Transportation said a full closure of the Kellogg and I-235 interchange will now happen next weekend, Oct. 12-15, due to forecasted weather.

Originally the work was going to take place this weekend, but the contractor delayed the work to replace the bridge approaches over the Wichita – Valley Center Floodway, remove bridge construction forms, and to mill and overlay asphalt.

Detours will use the outside diamond-shaped ramps on Kellogg and on I-235
