Authorities are investigating after one person was taken to the hospital in north Wichita after a shooting.

Police were in the area of 2400 Somerset Street investigating two nearby scenes after one person suffered serious injuries from a shooting.

Authorities say the shooting happened around 6:15 p.m. A man was found inside of a black car with non-life threatening injuries.

A woman was also injured and walked into a nearby hospital. Her injuries were not life-threatening.

The victim was transported to a nearby hospital, according to authorities.

Police believe the shooter was in a silver car that has bullet holes in the passenger side.

It is unclear if any suspects are known at this time. However, police say they do not think the shooting is related to the other recent gang shootings.
