UPDATE: No device found in YMCA, vague threat discovered on bathroom stall


UPDATE: A threat was found written on a bathroom stall in the Newton YMCA Thursday night. 

Lt. Scott Powell said the staff found the vague bomb threat. 

Authorities said the KHP was on the way with bomb-sniffing dogs to search the area.

Lt. Powell said no actual device was found on the premises, just the written threat. 

People were evacuated to the Newton Medical Center. Kids who were left at the YMCA can be picked up by their parents in the cafeteria of the medical center. 

According to Harvey County authorities, the YMCA in Newton is being evacuated.

The evacuation was ordered after a suspicious device was found on the property. 

KSN has a crew on the way to the scene. Updates will be provided once more information becomes available.
