Vice President Mike Pence has been making campaign stops for Republicans across the Midwest, and that’s what brought him to Kansas.
A large crowd of people spent $150 a ticket for a fundraising dinner at Air Capital Flight Line.
They heard from Congressman Ron Estes and Republican candidate for governor, Kris Kobach.
The Vice President of the United States was in Wichita tonight to campaign for Republican gubernatorial candidate Kris Kobach.
But the Vice President of the United States was the star of the night.
He threw his support to Kobach, but he also had some good things to say about other Kansans.
“Can I just say thanks to Wichita for being the state and the community that sent Mike Pompeo to Washington D.C. he is doing an incredible job as the Secretary of State of the United States of America,” said Vice President Mike Pence. “We couldn’t be more proud.”
An interesting side note to the visit, Vice President Pence said his wife was born at McConnell Air Force Base.
