Wells Fargo looks to foreclose on Towne West Square mall


Wells Fargo Bank has filed a lawsuit against the owners of Towne West Square mall after an alleged failure of paying on a loan of $51 million. The bank is seeking to foreclose on the mall. 

Towne West Square is located in west Wichita. According to court documents, the $51 million loan was made in May of 2011. 

Court documents show as of August 1, 2018, the following amounts are owed on the loan taken out by Towne West Square: 

  • principal in the amount of $45,654,112.29
  • accrued interest of $220,429.47
  • miscellaneous advances of $60,027.86
  • interest on miscellaneous advances of $1,589.94
