A Wichita car wash is showing their support for the Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office following the tragic death of Deputy Robert Kunze.

The Sedgwick County Sheriff’s Office posted the good deed on their Facebook Page Thursday afternoon.

So what is Joe’s Car Wash doing for the department?

The business, located at 206 N. Seneca, offered to wash all of the patrol cars free of charge in time for Deputy Kunze’s funeral Friday.

The Sheriff’s Office took to Facebook to express their gratitude, saying, “These men and women at Joe’s worked hard to make sure the cars are spotless. Thank you so much!”

Deputy Kunze died in the line of duty Sunday after a shooting in rural Sedgwick County.

Kunze’s funeral will begin at 10:00 a.m. Friday at Central Community Church located at 1600 W. Maple. After the funeral, the procession will go west on Maple to 119th, then south on 119th to Resthaven Memorial Gardens at 11800 West Highway 54.
