Six of the nine flights arriving from Denver, Colorado Saturday at Eisenhower Airport were delayed. Newlywed’s Rubi and Kameron Spray’s layover in Denver was one of them. The Spray’s were returning from their honeymoon in Maui, Hawaii. They experienced a 45 minute delay.
“Once we got on the plane, they said we can’t leave yet we have to get some of this snow off of the wings.” recalled Rubi Spray. “So then, we stayed a while while they were cleaning the airplane off a bit.”
And as those flights arrive late to Wichita, the return flight to Denver leaves late.
Now that Rubi and Kameron Spray made it to Wichita, their travels aren’t over yet. They’ll have to battle the snow once again, this time by land to drive home to Great Bend.
“So we’re a little nervous,“ Rubi said. “Yea, “Kameron chimed in.”
“But, we are used to traveling a lot from Wichita to Great Bend so we know the roads to take and the roads not to take,” said Rubi.
