Woman killed in drive-by shooting identified


WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – An 18-year-old woman is dead after a drive-by shooting in southeast Wichita. Wichita police said it happened in the 1600 block of South Estelle just after 2 a.m. Tuesday.

When they arrived, they found the woman, identified as Myranda Keck, inside of her car. She was pronounced dead. The victim’s 18-year-old boyfriend and 40-year-old mother were also inside the car.

“Three individuals just arrived home and parked the car in the street when an unknown suspect or suspects drove by in a vehicle and shot multiple times at the victims. It struck the 18-year-old female,” said officer Charley Davidson, Wichita Police Department.

It is the fourth homicide in Wichita this year.
