WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – A man driving a motorcycle was injured early Sunday morning in a crash on east Kellogg in Wichita.

The Kansas Highway Patrol reports the crash occurred shortly after 1:30 a.m. in the westbound lanes of U.S. 54 Highway between Edgemoor and Oliver streets.

KHP troopers say a 2014 Dodge Charger driven by a 28-year-old Derby man was rear-ended by a 1998 Honda motorcycle driven by a 23-year-old man from Goddard.  The crash report said the motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it struck the car.

The motorcycle driver was taken to Wesley Medical Center following the accident.  His condition was not reported by the KHP.

Troopers said the motorcycle driver was not wearing a helmet at the time of the crash.

The man driving the Charger was not injured.
