An American tourist died and several others were injured in deadly boat explosion in the Bahamas Saturday morning.
Coast Guard watchstanders were contacted by the Royal Bahamas Police Force around 11 a.m. Saturday about the explosion.
Shortly after being asked to assist, an HC-130 Hercules airplane crew and two medical personnel launched from Air Station Clearwater.
The crew then landed in Exuma and transported four injured boaters back to the Clearwater air station so they could receive emergency medical services.
The Exuma branch of the Royal Bahamas Police Force is now investigating the explosion. They say an American woman was killed in the explosion. She has not yet been identified.
