An Ohio man convicted of arson and assault had a violent outburst in court Tuesday.
David Chislton attacked his attorney at his sentencing hearing in Cleveland.
The attack came after Chislton heard he would spend more than 40 years in prison for aggravated arson and felony assault.
Chislton’s attorney suffered facial injuried and a possible concussion in the attack.
Investigators said Chislton pistol-whipped his girlfriend and held her hostage before setting an apartment complex on fire in 2017.
The crimes came after Chislton’s girlfriend accused him of sexually abusing her 15-year-old daughter.
Chislton is now facing additional charges stemming from the courtroom attack.
