Former President George HW Bush’s best friend and recent constant companion is missing the president Monday morning–and you can see it all over his face.

Sully, the 2-year-old Labrador retriever, was with Bush’s body in Houston Sunday night. Bush’s spokesman Jim McGrath tweeted a photo of Sully in front of the former president’s casket.

America’s VetDogs, the charity that assigned Sully to Bush, says after a short vacation, Sully will join a program at Walter Reed National Military Medical Center to help wounded soldiers and active duty personnel.
