BENTONVILLE, Ark. (KNWA) - Suppliers from across the country pitched their products to buyers from Walmart Wednesday at the company's 5th Annual Open Call in Bentonville, Arkansas.
Attendees met one-on-one with the buyers for a chance to get their products on store shelves and in the hands of millions of customers.
According to Walmart's website, the yearly event intends to "help boost job creation and U.S. manufacturing through buying an additional $250 billion in products that support American jobs over 10 years. Based on data from Boston Consulting Group, it's estimated that 1 million new U.S. jobs will be created through this initiative."
This year's batch of lucky winners will see their products in stores within the year.
