On Newsfeed Now for March 26 we started off the conversation with an Alabama visit for Vice-President Mike Pence. The VP is taking part in National Space Council meetings at the U.S. Space & Rocket Center in Huntsville. We checked in live there with WZDX’s Renata Di Gregorio for a look at what is on Pence’s agenda.
At the 3:00 mark our show turned warm and fuzzy with the story of a runaway goat’s rescue. The little guy was wandering in traffic on streets in Bay Minette, Alabama until animal control officers were called in. WKRG’s Debbie Williams joined us with details of what happens next for the pygmy goat.
From there, we headed to Louisiana at 6:45. That’s where one town is helping out a neighboring town in need. They’re loaning a couple of fire trucks to that town after their own trucks had to go into the repair shop. KTVE’s Anna McAllister and Andy Pederson were with us to tell the story.
And finally, at 10:15 into the program, we made a stop in Kansas. That’s where a nurse is taking on extra work to help people in neighboring Nebraska after catastrophic flooding. KSNW’s Michelle Ross joined the conversation to tell us about the six-month assignment that brings helping hands to victims who need it most.
