WICHITA, Kan. (KSNW) – Wichita police are investigating a shooting that left one man dead and two others injured.
It happened around 6:30 p.m. Saturday near 17th and Grove in a parking lot.
When officers arrived, they found 35-year-old Justin Green with a gunshot wound. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
A short time later, a 25-year-old man arrived at the hospital with a gunshot wound. He was treated and released.
This morning, a 22-year-old man, who was involved in Saturday’s shooting, was transported to the hospital with serious injuries but non-life-threatening injuries from multiple gunshot wounds.
“The investigation revealed that a disturbance occurred between multiple individuals at a family gathering at this location. Multiple shots were fired. Multiple people were involved,” said Capt. Brent Allred, Wichita Police Department.
The incident was not random.
