WICHITA, Kansas – On Tuesday, a group of protesters confronted Wichita City Council members over the shooting death of 23-year-old John Paul Quintero early last month.
Police were called out with reports that Quintero had a knife. Police say Quintero didn’t follow the officers’ commands and then threatened them before they shot and killed him.
Quintero’s family and other activists have been unhappy with the investigation.
Police say they’ve been as transparent as possible in the case.
Still, the family says the answers to their questions haven’t been answered sufficiently.
