GIRARD, Kan. (KSNW) — An Arizona woman is dead following a crash Monday morning in Crawford County in southeast Kansas.
The Kansas Highway Patrol says it happened shortly after 8:30 a.m. on Highway 47, about 2 miles west of Girard. Troopers say Kelli Bradshaw of Walnut was driving west on Highway 47 in a Ford Taurus when for an unknown reason she crossed the center line.
Her car crashed head-on into an eastbound Chevy Equinox driven by 69-year-old Judith Keener of Kayenta, Arizona. She was pronounced dead at the scene of the crash.
Bradshaw was flown by medical helicopter to a Joplin hospital with serious injuries. The Crawford County Sheriff’s Office says the road was closed for several hours but has reopened.
No one else was hurt in the crash.
