MEMPHIS, Tenn. (KSNW) — A Wichita boy diagnosed with the brain cancer, medullablastoma, last year is going through six months of chemotherapy at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.

12-year-old Andrew Ewertz spent Easter at the hospital in Memphis.

He’s already had several weeks of proton beam therapy, which is targeted radiation, to shrink his brain tumor.

Now  Ewertz is getting weekly chemo treatments.

His mother, Sara Moore, tells KSN that her son has been very tired and fighting a fever, but all the prayers and support from home really help to boost their spirits!

Because Moore and her husband cannot work while Andrew goes through treatment at St. Jude, they have other costs that are not medical related.

The family has set up a GoFundMe page to take donations.
