Fans are not the only ones excited about the Chiefs game on Sunday.
“Easy, Chiefs are going to win,” says former Chiefs defensive end Mike Bell.
That’s the short answer.
“Here is why,” explains Bell. “Arrowhead.”
The longer version, according to Bell who played for 12 years, is all in how the team is made.
“We have Arrowhead,” says Bell.
Mix in a little Andy Reid, standout receivers, a defense that is finally playing well and the new sheriff in town, Patrick Mahomes. Bell says it’s the perfect recipe.
“I just think we have the magic. I really do. I think 15 is the answer, and I feel like it is our year,” Bell explains.
Bell had an impressive career of his own. Playing more than 130 games, he knows the game of football.
“I haven’t seen a quarterback like him since I had been playing. Some of the throws, the sidearm throw, going from right hand to left hand,” says Bell.
Bell has two playoff victories of his own.
“You have the regular season and the playoff. Playoffs are a whole different level. Maybe not so much different to Brady and that bunch because they have been there, but we have won that one (Colts game) so we have some momentum and they will just have to go out and play one play at a time, like they always do,” explains Bell.
With the rowdy fans at Arrowhead, Bell expects a win.
“The magnitude of this game is huge,” he says. “I think in that building we are going to win the game and we are going to the Super Bowl.”
